On November 14, Chu Beiping, president of the Law School of Dalian Maritime University, led a nine-person group including the school faculty and doctoral students to our court for investigation. Deng Yan, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of Dalian Maritime Court, presided over the meeting. Hou Shujie, member of the Party Leadership Group and vice president, Guo Xuelin, member of the Party Leadership and leader of Discipline Inspection Group, and Sun Guang, member of the Party Leadership Group and vice president, attended the meeting.
Deng Yan, on behalf of our court, welcomed the Law School of Dalian Maritime University for investigation, applauded the pragmatic cooperation between the two sides, and appreciated Dalian Maritime University for its support to the work of Dalian Maritime Court and its work and efforts in the quality training of judges. She emphasized that through the investigation, it is necessary to further deepen the cooperation between the two sides, fully mobilize their respective resources, give full play to their respective advantages, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
Chu Beiping expressed his gratitude for the support of Dalian Maritime Court. He said that Dalian Maritime Court is always racing against time and working with high efficiency, which is instructive to the Law School of Dalian Maritime University. He hoped that this exchange will further deepen the cooperation between the two parties, concretely implement the cooperation agreement reached, and promote the joint development of the Law School of Dalian Maritime University and Dalian Maritime Court.
Later, the two parties had a furhter communication and discussion on the in-depth cooperation of case compilation and translation, university student practice and internship, and smart court construction. Chu Beiping introduced the work and the next steps of the Law School of Dalian Maritime University in these three aspects. Xu Yan, Party Secretary of the Law School of Dalian Maritime University, Li Zhiwen, Deputy President, and Jiang Yuechuan, Deputy President, expressed their views. Hou Shujie, Sun Guang, Guo Xuelin, Tang Hong, Director of the trial administration office, and Judge Cheng Xin put forward suggestions on the relevant issues.
In the next step, the two sides will formulate a detailed cooperation plan on the establishment of case compilation platform, student practice and internship, use of judges' training bases, and secondment of college teachers. They will also actively promote the implementation of details, achieve mutual benefit and win-win results, and make joint development by use of in-depth cooperation between trial practice and teaching and scientific research.
