The professional judge conference of the Court has discussed the application of law and other issues in a case of dispute over an epidemic-related ship charter contract recently. Unlike before, the Court held the conference online by using the management system of professional judge conference. The judges logged into the system at the scheduled time, put forward opinions and suggestions, voted for the issues involved, formed the record and resolution and provided references for the collegial panel to hear the case.
This newly launched system provides a more efficient and flexible discussion mechanism and a more convenient management platform for the professional judge conference. It establishes a complete management process of full-service conference online by docking with the case-handling system. It contains the following functions as issue application, consultation, conference schedule and preparation, case examination and conference details, vote, conference record and resolution, reconsideration, attendance check and management on personnel and team, and statistical analysis.
As one of the application and demonstration projects of Liaoning provincial court system informatization in 2020 undertaken by the Court, the Party group attaches great importance to the system and establishes the offline group of researching and developing team for the system. The technical department designs, develops, presents opinions and advices offline and tests repeatedly online after a sufficient discussion with judges and the R & D team. The system is put into use half a year ahead of schedule eventually.
