In order to further master the professional knowledge of ships, improve professional quality, and better serve maritime trial practice, Dalian Maritime Court and Dalian Maritime University have cooperated to organize all judges and judge assistants to go out to sea for training on the "Yukun" ship.
On May 22nd, the first batch of four police officers who studied along with the ship boarded the "Yukun" ship at the Dalian Port pier and interned with students from Dalian Maritime University.
The "Yukun" ship is the first specialized navigation teaching and internship ship in China that has been independently developed, designed, and imported with key equipment, invested and built by Dalian Maritime University. It is one of the most advanced specialized navigation and ocean going internship ships in the world.
During the voyage,the four judges and assistants observed the sailing process of the ship, including departure, berthing, towing, and piloting. They consulted the captain and first mate on navigation related issues such as ship driving regulations and collision avoidance rules, and became familiar with the operating principles of the engine room and the job responsibilities of crew members. In response to disputes related to ships encountered in judicial and judicial practice,the four police officers conducted in-depth discussions with teachers and students on board.
Boarding training and following the ship to sea are practical measures taken by Dalian Maritime Court to strengthen the cultivation of foreign-related legal talents. With the continuous improvement of the four training modes of "in court, on campus, on board the ship, and at sea", and the continuous implementation of corresponding training plans, the level of team building in Dalian Maritime Court will continue to improve, the ability to serve maritime justice will continue to strengthen, and the goal of leading the judicial work in the province will be promoted.
